FORT ATKINSON, Wis. – Two RV publishing professionals announced today they joined Milo Media Publications to develop a communications group focused on serving the information needs of the RV industry.

Wolfgang Neuwirth and Greg Gerber will produce RV Industry News magazine, with the first issue due out the Spring of 2008. The group will also publish Scenic Route, a consumer magazine targeting active RVers associated with the Route 66 dealer network.

RV Industry News will provide up-to-date market information and in-depth news stories as well as promote the best business practices of RV dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, campgrounds and RV service centers. The magazine will be produced six times a year in 2008. Breaking news stories will be distributed through daily electronic newsletters beginning in December.

“We feel the RV industry is hungry for what we have to offer,” explained Neuwirth. “Our ability to deliver print and Internet audiences will make this business venture especially appealing to companies that manufacture RVs, produce products or provide services to other businesses within the RV industry.”

Gerber, the former editor of RV Trade Digest and the author of the RV industry’s first business-focused blog, will continue producing the blog under the RV Industry News banner. Publication of the blog will begin immediately and can be accessed at http://rvindustrynews.wordpress.com. A subscription service will soon be available to receive blog updates by e-mail.

In addition to editing Scenic Route and RV Industry News, Gerber will also help develop RVinfonet, a conglomerate of online communities for RVers and people working in the industry. More than 150 domains have already been secured for this project which will launch in Spring 2008.

“The RV industry is just beginning to embrace the power of the Internet as a viable medium for communication either in business-to-business channels or business-to-consumer,” said Gerber. “In launching this venture, our goal is to deliver important news and information quickly via electronic communication mediums and augment that with more in-depth coverage and analysis via print publications.”

Neuwirth, the former publisher of RV Trade Digest, will orchestrate advertising for the venture and work to develop other partnerships within the RV industry in addition to seeking ways to expand the venture into other outdoor recreation markets in the years ahead.

The director of Milo Media’s new custom publication division, Bob Stange, will also work with the group to develop newsletters, magazines and other custom print communications for companies serving the RV industry.

“We’re excited to welcome Greg and Wolf to our team,” said Mike Domke, president of Milo Media. “In recent months, both of them approached us independently about developing projects in the RV industry – Wolfgang with print publications and Greg with the online network. By connecting the dots and taking advantage of their talent and experience, we’re confident Milo Media will quickly become a dominant player in the RV industry.

“When we were offered the opportunity to publish Scenic Route for the Route 66 dealers, we immediately sensed an opportunity to serve an industry looking for a communications partner that was not only in touch with the market, but also capable of offering a level of service that is high on value and low on pressure,” Domke added. “As a small business ourselves, we are far more responsive and flexible to the unique communications and marketing needs of our customers than they are accustomed to receiving from large corporate media firms.”

The group will be headquartered out of Milo Media’s office in Fort Atkinson, Wis.
