The Family Outdoor Emergency Kit for any Environment and Every Season

Truckee, California, Spring, 2005 – Mountain Moms®’ www.mountainmoms.com was created by two mothers who live in the High Sierra of northern California near Lake Tahoe. Their first product, the Mountain Kids Kit® was produced in 1998 for their own children, having learned to always be prepared for the unexpected in this rugged mountain environment.

The Mountain Kids Kit® led to the idea for an Outdoor Emergency Kit. The Outdoor Emergency Kit is an easy-to-add, 4-season first-aid, comfort and safety kit; packed full of 18 carefully chosen essentials you may have forgotten, run out of or need in an emergency while outdoors traveling, hiking, boating, biking or camping.

The kit includes everything from a whistle to hand warmers and some “helpful suggestions” from the Mountain Moms. This unique, compact kit is constructed from coated pack cloth, has a side edging of 3M Scotchlite reflective material, a full seam easy-open velcro closure, handy swivel clip, and belt loop. The Outdoor Emergency Kit fits easily into a backpack, pocket or glove compartment. Pack colors are available in red, blue, and green; the dimensions are 5 ½” wide x 7 ¼” high, and it only weighs 13 ounces. The Outdoor Emergency Kit is intended for ages 8 and up. Adult assistance is recommended with some items included in the kit.
